Keynote Address by:
Ambassador (Dr.) Robin Renee Sanders
She’s the former U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of the Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) from 2002 to 2005, and to Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. She is a 2010 D.Sc. graduate of Robert Morris University and served as Deputy Commandant at the Eisenhower Resource College at the National Defense University in Washington, D.C. She has received numerous awards on her work with and advocacy for Nigeria small businesses and Nigeria Diaspora issues.
Ambassador (Dr.) Robin Renee Sanders is CEO of the FEEEEDS Advocacy Initiative and owns FE3DS, LLC both which work on economic development and business strategies for Africa. The FEEEDS Advocacy Initiative also publishes the @the FEEEDS® Index, which provides polling data from African respondents on key national issues.
Ambassador Sanders holds a Doctorate Degree in Information Systems and Communications from Pittsburgh’s Robert Morris. Prior to becoming CEO-FEEEDS, she served as the U.S. Ambassador to several countries (Nigeria and Republic of Congo) and U.S. Permanent Representative to the West African Regional Organization ECOWAS. As an academic while serving in the U.S. Diplomatic Service, Dr. Sanders was the International Affairs Advisor and Deputy Commander of the Eisenhower Resource College of the National Defense University.
A noted international lecturer, she has taught International and African Affairs, National Security Strategies, and Human Cultural Communication. Sanders served twice as Africa Director at the National Security Council at the White House, and is currently a Visiting Scholar under the CIC Woodrow Wilson Program and at Nigeria’s National Defense College. Her business expertise lies in the areas of agriculture, aviation security, housing, Information Technology, Small-Medium Enterprises, and health systems. Ambassador Sanders serves on U.S. EXIM Bank and the U.S. Trade Representative Africa Advisory Committees; and is a member of Human Rights Watch and the prestigious Academy of Diplomacy of former U.S. Ambassadors. Dr. Sanders is a regular Africa subject matter expert for Al Jazeera America, Al Jazeera English, ARISE TV, and has appeared on CNN International, This Week’s ABC News, and served as an expert witness before the United States Congress on African issues.
She’s the Author of two books:
- “The Legendary Uli Women of Nigeria”, and
- “The Rise of Nigeria Small and Medium Size Enterprises and numerous articles on policy, development, and Nigeria Diaspora issues”
