Senior Agribusiness Manager – Agriculture Technology | Organics

Roderick is the Senior Agribusiness Manager at the Georgia Center of Innovation for Agribusiness. He specializes in organics, unmanned aerial vehicle agricultural applications, bioenergy feedstocks, and precision agriculture.

“Precision agriculture applications – Trends, use of data and Smart Farming through innovation”

The Center supports Georgia’s agriculture industry and enables companies to access high-growth opportunities within the industry through collaborative research and partnerships with research universities and state agencies.

Roderick is originally from Albany, Georgia. He graduated from Westover High School. He received his Bachelor Degree in Political Science from Albany State University.  He also attained his Master Degree with a concentration in Community & Economic Development from Albany State University.

After graduate school, he worked for the City of Americus as the Assistant Community Development Director. He was employed with Southwest Georgia Regional Development Center as the Economic Developer. Before joining the Center, he was the Economic Development Director for the City of College Park, Georgia.

Currently, he serves on the College of Agriculture Advisory Boards for the University of Georgia and Fort Valley State University. He was a board member for Georgia Organics.
